Recovery through Faith

The thrift stores furnish a safe and protected drug-free environment for women to work, learn and grow during their recovery. The vocational and life-skills component is instrumental in their path to sobriety and success through an internal leadership model that develops self-confidence and purpose.

Empowerment is extremely positive. The pride that comes from committing to a job with responsibilities is an important aspect of recovery for our residents. By tapping into untouched potential within themselves, it helps the women see they are important and have the tools to live successful lives. Through working in the thrift stores, women build self-esteem, gain hope, learn management and teamwork skills.
